Every team member has their own Team Member Profile. When you're member of multiple teams, you will have different team profiles. A player profile comes with additional features like a player number, preferred positions and parent relationships.
How to create a Team Profile?
There are 2 ways to create a team profile:
When users join a team (and don't claim an existing profile) a new team profile is created.
For players, team admins can create a player profile profile without a real user being associated with it.
Understanding Player Profiles
A Player Profile is a Team Profile with additional features like a player number, preferred positions and so on. Only player profiles can be associated to matches, line-ups and so on.
A Player profile can have an owner: the person who is this player. But, this is not strictly necessary.
A player profile can have one or more parents. Parents can change profile information and can RSVP for that player. Parents can receive reminder notifications in case the player has not RSVP'ed for a training or match.
Managing Team Member Profiles
Parents and players can claim a player profile as explained in this article about how to claim a player profile.
Admins, owners and parents can manage the following information:
Player Picture
Player name
Player number
Preferred positions
Biomedical data: height, weight, age
Troubleshooting Team Member Profiles
A user has claimed the wrong player profile.
Admins can disconnect the user (owner) from a team member profile. The user will be removed from the team.
Go to Homebase
Go the player > edit Profile
In the Profile Ownership section you can see the owner
Choose edit (dots) > remove connection
The user will be removed from the team (and can rejoin to claim another profile or create a new one)
A Parent is member of the team, but not connected to the child
This can be fixed by the parent or by an admin.
Parents can use the app > Team > Members > look up their child and press the edit dots > connect to child
Admins can manage profile connections in Homebase or in the App
Go to Homebase or in the App the team member section
Go the player > edit Profile
In the Profile Ownership section you can connect or remove parents
A player has not claimed their profile and is now listed twice
There are 2 player profiles for the same player. One can be removed, the other needs to be connected to the right user and / or parents.
β
Suppose the profile that a player has NOT claimed has already stats and media associated we advise to do the following:
First, remove the owner from the profile that you want to remove (the user will be removed from the team and needs to rejoin)
Go to Homebase
Look up the Player > Edit profile
In The Profile Ownership section you see the owner > remove connection
Second, delete the team member profile.
Go the player overview in the Team section in the app or Homebase
Hit the edit dots > Remove from Team
Ask the player to rejoin the team using the join code and make sure he or she claim the right player profile
