ℹ️ Available for team members with the Match Reporter role (Scorekeeping + Content rights)

Live Mode lets you send real-time push notifications to followers during a match — so they know the moment a goal goes in, a card is given, or a video is added, even if they're not watching the Match Feed.

What is Live Mode?

Live Mode is a toggle in Match Control that activates real-time push notifications for your followers. When Live Mode is on, every key match event triggers an instant notification — keeping followers in the loop without them needing to check the app.

Live Mode can be activated by anyone with the Match Reporter role. A Match Reporter has both Scorekeeping rights and Content rights. If you don't see the option, check with your team admin that you have the right permissions.

How to activate Live Mode

  1. Open the match in the Mingle app.

  2. Tap Match Control.

  3. Go to the Content tab.

  4. Toggle Live Mode on.

Live Mode is now active. Followers will start receiving push notifications for key match events as they happen.

What notifications does Live Mode send?

When Live Mode is on, followers receive a push notification each time one of these events is recorded:

  • Match start — when the match kicks off

  • Goal — each time a goal is added

  • Card — each time a yellow or red card is recorded

  • Video added — each time a video is uploaded to the Match Feed

Followers only receive these notifications if they have push notifications enabled on their device.

The Announce notification

When you activate Live Mode, you have the option to send an Announce notification to followers. This is a one-time message letting them know you're sharing live updates.

Sending the Announce notification is optional — tap Skip if you'd rather start Live Mode without notifying followers first.

When does Live Mode turn off?

Live Mode turns off automatically when the match ends. You don't need to remember to switch it off.
