Your team has players, staff members. And might have parents and guest players. You might want to change who is invited. For instance: you would like to invite guest players by default to trainings. Or you have a specific match that is not for all players.
You decide which roles to invite by default for training, matches and team events
Using Mingle Sport you can have the following options:
Change the Default Invites for Matches, Training and Team Events
Set Custom Invites for specific events
The default invite settings that you can change are set as follows:
Event Type | Players | Guest Players | Staff | Parents |
Match | X | - | X | X |
Training | X | - | X |
|
Team Event | - | - | - | - |
Changing the default Invite Setting
You can customize which team roles are automatically invited to each type of event. Here's how:
Navigate to your Team Settings in Homebase
Select RSVP Preferences
Under Default Invitations, you'll see three sections:
Matches
Training
Team Events
For each event type, toggle on/off the roles you want to invite by default:
Players
Guest Players
Staff
Parents & Guardians
Click Save to apply your new default settings
Set Custom Invites for a Match, Training or Team Event
Sometimes you need to make exceptions for specific events. You can override the default settings for any individual match, training, or team event. When creating the event you can select who to invite.
FAQ about Custom Invites
Who can change invitation settings?
Team Admins and users with Schedule rights can modify both default team invitation settings and custom invites for individual events.
What happens when I don't invite someone?
For Matches: Non-invited members can still see the match in their schedule but cannot RSVP
For Training & Team Events: Non-invited members won't see these events in their Schedule Lane or Schedule Section
Non-invited members won't receive any RSVP reminders, updates, or deletion notifications
They won't count towards attendance statistics
They cannot be added to line-ups
What if I don't invite parents but their child is invited?
Parents will still see the event in their app so they can RSVP on behalf of their child, but they cannot RSVP for themselves. They will also receive parent reminder notifications if that setting is enabled.
What happens when I add a new team member?
New team members are automatically added to all future events that use default team invitation settings, based on their role and your team's default settings. They won't be added to events with custom invites.
How do attendance statistics work with custom invites?
Attendance is calculated based only on invited members. The formula is: Attending Invited Players ÷ Total Invited Players = Attendance Rate
Non-invited members don't affect your attendance statistics.
